Time for a change
Fall is approaching, bringing change with it. The weather, the leaves, a new school year, so why not a self change? This year is going to be different.
They say looks aren't everything, and I agree which may be one of my most hypocritical stances. Although they aren't everything, they are something to me. I won't judge the way others look but I do judge myself that way. It gives me even the slightest bit of confidence if I like what I'm wearing or my hair or something. It sounds really shallow but it's true, maybe because it's only a once in a while feeling. So weather it's just new clothes or a different hairstyle, something is going to change.
But as I said before, looks aren't everything. There is much more to be changed inside. I've always played it safe, staying in the background, afraid to participate, speaking only when spoken to. I don't want to be shy anymore. I want to take risks, be loud, and be involved. I only get to live these years once. So my goal for this year is to live it up and take some risks. Be spontaneous for a change. What can it hurt? If I don't try, I'll never know.

updates and summer recaps
First I guess I'll start with updates. Shopping. I've done it. A lot of it recently and I have the biggest rush from the sales I've been finding. I also saw my first legit horror movie in theatres. I survived! It was Orphan and it was great just to let you know. Annnnd I went to the beach with my bffl and then back home to hang out. Just spending some quality time which was absolutely needed.
Now for the summer recap. I think I went out to the movies or bowling a lot more last year, but this summer I've been better about trying new things. (nothing bad or illegal no worries). Feeling quite weightless (All Time Low reference) and I think and I hope that maybe this WILL be my year. We're all growing up too quickly, even if not by choice, so I'm gonna make this last and maybe gain a little confidence along the way. Let's hope! Maybe it's not my weekend, but it's gonna be my year, and I'm so sick of watching while the minutes pass as I go nowhere, and this is my reaction, to everything I fear, 'cause I've been going crazy I don't wanna waste another minute here. --ATL
